Dawnbreaker Health Now Accepts Insurance — Starting With Aetna

We’re now in-network with Aetna, with United Healthcare, Cigna, and BlueCard BCBS plans on the way.

When we launched Dawnbreaker Health, insurance often felt like it was standing between people and the kind of care they actually wanted — unhurried visits, real listening, and treatment plans built around them instead of a script. We built an out-of-network model to work around that.

But we’ve also heard, again and again, that insurance is the deciding factor in whether someone can see us at all. So we’ve been working to change that, and we’re ready to share the first step.

WHAT’S NEW: WE’RE IN-NETWORK WITH AETNA

Effective now, we accept Aetna insurance for visits across every state we currently serve — with more states coming as we expand.

If you have an Aetna Commercial plan, you can now use your benefits at Dawnbreaker Health the same way you would with any in-network provider: we submit your visit to insurance, and you’re typically only responsible for your copay, coinsurance, or deductible, depending on your plan.

MORE PLANS ARE COMING

Aetna is our starting point, not our stopping point. We’re actively working to bring on:

  • United Healthcare
  • Cigna
  • BlueCard BCBS plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield plans nationwide through the BlueCard program)

We’ll announce each one as it goes live, so there’s no need to check back constantly — we’ll let you know.

A NOTE ON MEDICARE

At this time, we do not plan to accept traditional Medicare, any Medicare Advantage plans, including Aetna Medicare Advantage.

Federal Medicare rules limit when Medicare beneficiaries may pay privately for services that Medicare would otherwise cover. Accordingly, we do not currently offer routine self-pay visits to Medicare beneficiaries.

IF YOU’RE NOT ON AETNA

Nothing changes for you today, and you still have options:

  • Self-pay remains available to everyone, insured or not, at the visit pricing we currently offer
  • PPO plans can often still be submitted for out-of-network reimbursement, just as before.
  • Labs, imaging, and prescriptions can typically still go through your existing insurance, regardless of which plan you carry.
HOW TO GET STARTED WITH AETNA

Book your appointment as usual and let us know you’d like to use your Aetna benefits. We’ll verify your eligibility ahead of time and walk you through what to expect before your visit.

Book online at dawnbreakerhealth.com, or call or text us at 503-664-7007.

We know insurance can be confusing, and we’re here to help you sort out what applies to you. Your health deserves more than the status quo. Let’s figure out what’s possible together.
